# Solana Privacy Rings API

Privacy indexer JSON-RPC methods for encrypted state, shielded history, proofs, and public registry records. Beta on devnet.

- Send a single JSON-RPC 2.0 request whose `method` matches the final URL path segment.
- Hashes and public keys are base58-encoded 32-byte values; signatures are base58-encoded 64-byte values. Ciphertext payloads, viewing public keys, and salts are base64.
- History methods return `result.data`, grouped by Solana transaction, and `paginationToken`. The limit counts transactions (1–1,000; default 1,000). Follow non-null tokens with the same filters. After an uncapped terminal page, resume with `filters.slot.gt` set to that page's `context.slot`.
- `minContextSlot` enforces freshness on paginated history reads. The indexer also requires the slot of the pagination token and of any `gt`/`gte` filter. Error `-32016` includes `error.data.contextSlot`.
- The indexer returns encrypted payloads; wallets decrypt balances and history.
